I’m an astronomer who works as communicator with a keen interest in social science, philosophy, music, art, archaeology and history. I am involved extensively with astronomy communication with the public, enjoying the challenge of conveying complex ideas in an easy-to-understand manner. I commit to write in langitselatan as myself but sometimes, I also write under pseudonym Pengembara Angkasa with my friends to answer astronomy question from public in the same site.

Other than astronomy, I love traveling and doing outdoor activities and hanging out with friends in roadside cafes.

Thesis : Planetary System Modeling : Study Case Solar System and 47 Ursae Majoris

Planetary system modeling using planetary system generator, which is built based on a simple accretion model (Dole 1970) and considering the present structure of the solar system. Data on newly discovered extrasolar planets are also taken into account. It is then applied to generate 47 Ursae Majoris system to analyze its evolution. The planetary system generator in this project is a modification to ACRETE simulation by implementing perturbation and tidal effect of the system.

Research: Extrasolar Planet : 47 Ursae Majoris System, Perturbation Effect & its Evolution

The project aims to analyze 47 Ursae Majoris system stabilization using Weak Friction-Perturbation Model (WFPM). This is a numerical model based on the perturbation and the tidal effect.  We analyze the orbital element changes and compare it with the Sun-Jupiter-Saturn system to analyze the system evolution compare to Solar System.
